Aharon Ozery

Tel Aviv, Israel

Although Aharon Ozery's works varies in shape, size and material, there is a "dominate line etc figure, that runs through many of them. The round shape, figure, repetitious motion and circle - occupies him tremendously. A thing that he finds very interesting, as he says, is that all religions have taken use of these shapes and motions, leaning in there rituals on circular repetition - form and motion. The attempt in Ozery's works, is to abstract this customary use (of form & motion), in material - sometimes still sometimes using kinetic motion - acting as representations of themes such as circling an object or using function less motion as a purpose in itself. In other works shape or motion, if successful, may represent a repetitious thought like in meditation. By the using, at times, of simplest materials with simple mechanics, he breaks down the seriousness of the subject and gives it a humoristic pan".
